Prayer Requests
The Dechen LA, Sakya Buddhist Temple community perform regular prayers and meditation practices (pujas), similar to the temples and monasteries of Tibet. The merit (i.e. good karma) is dedicated to the benefit of all beings although you can also sponsor a puja and request the merit to be dedicated to a specific person. Dedications are traditionally made to help with:
Caring for the deceased and dying
Overcoming illnesses
Overcoming obstacles
Supporting long life
Everyone is welcome to sponsor these prayers and pujas and email us if you would also like to attend in person.
You can make a ‘one-off’ gift using the link below, add a comment stating the name of the person to dedicate the merit towards, a brief description of the purpose (e.g. to prayer for them to recover from an illness), and select ‘Prayer requests’ for what the donation should go toward.
