Visit to Sakya Buddhist Center‘s Retreat Land!

On Sunday, members of Sakya Buddhist Center LA sangha drove up to the Los Padres Forest, about 60 miles north of Santa Barbara, to visit the newly purchased Sakya Center retreat land for the first time.

It was a wonderful day! The sangha did one session of Green Tara puja. Lunch was shared and much time was spent exploring the beautiful land which was green and blooming after all the recent rain, and discussing plans for future developments. The day finished with the recitation of the Heart Sutra, which was to dispel obstacles and shamatha meditation before the drive back to LA.
